Did you know that the home is the most common location where childhood injuries occur?
Kidsafe Victoria provides fee for service home safety information sessions to a wide range of groups including parent and staff groups (e.g. family day care, early childhood, maternal and child health and community organisation staff). The purpose of the sessions is to provide attendees with neutral, evidence based information and to facilitate the uptake of prevention strategies in the home.
Sessions run for 1 hour and contain information on common child injury topics including road safety (including child car restraints), nursery furniture/equipment safety, burns and scalds, drowning, falls, poisoning, choking/suffocation, pet safety and toy safety.
Participants are provided with take home resource packs which contain information on a wide range of child injury prevention issues. To book a presentation for your organisation/group please contact Kidsafe Victoria via info@kidsafevic.com.au.
