Child Car Restraint Education Sessions for Community Organisations
Kidsafe Victoria offers 2-hour child car restraint fitting education sessions for staff of community organisations which is run at the organisation’s premises using their child car restraints.
Sessions include:
- 45 minutes of theory: child car restraint road rules, the types of restraints, common misuse issues etc.
- 1 hour 15 minutes of practice: participants getting hands-on experience in fitting restraints into vehicles.
Group sizes:
- Maximum 10 participants per session.
- If you have more than 10 participants, or not all participants can make the same date, an additional session may be required.
Organisation to supply:
- Audiovisual (AV) equipment for theory component.- Minimum 2 vehicles to conduct practical component.
- Safe area to conduct ‘hands on training’ (eg. organisation’s car park)
- Child car restraints for practical component:
- 1 x capsule
- 1 x rear facing child car restraint
- 1 x forward facing child car restraint
- 1 x booster seat
Fees:
- Investment of $495 + GST per session*
- Subsidies under the Victorian Community Road Safety Partnership Program available (conditions apply)
- Travel costs for facilitator may apply
